Retsuko röstades av Kaolip i den japanska originalversionen, med Shingo Katou och Rina Inoue som bland annat röstade andra huvudkaraktärer som hennes kollegor Haida och Fenneko. Exekutiv producent Tarō Gotō stod bakom seriens utveckling. Varje avsnitt varar cirka femton minuter, vilket gör serien lämplig för kortare tittarsessioner.
