Seriens plot utgår från ett dödsfall som upptäcks på bron mellan Danmark och Sverige, precis vid gränsen. En dansk inspektor och en svensk detektiv tvingas dela jurisdiktion och samarbeta för att lösa fallet. Sofia Helin spelar huvudrollen som Saga Norén, den svenska detektiven, medan Thure Lindhardt framställer Henrik Sabroe på dansk sida. Övriga skådespelare inkluderar Mikael Birkkjær som Jonas, Sarah Boberg som Lillian Larsen och Rafael Pettersson som John Lundqvist.
Serien består av fyra säsonger. Sofia Helin fortsätter som huvudroll genom alla säsonger, medan andra skådespelare varierar mellan säsongerna. Den första säsongen sändes i Sveriges Television från och med 21 september 2011. Den sista säsongen sändes i början av 2018.

The head of the Danish migration agency is murdered brutally, and the murder is linked to a controversial expulsion case. Investigator Henrik Sabroe needs help from his colleague and friend Saga Norén, but she is in prison for the murder of her mother.

On a personal level he tries to realize that he will never figure out what happened to his missing daughters, but then someone begins to show interest in the mystery.

The murderer even confesses to the six killings/revenges. But Saga discovers something which doesn't fit. She goes back to the prison in Sweden and talks to the girl who almost killed her, and here she gets a terrible suspicion: there is another killer - and there is still one person left to be a victim!
