Under tävlingens gång elimineras deltagare successivt tills endast fyra återstår – en från varje coachs lag. I slutfasen avgör amerikanska tittare genom röstning vilken av de fyra finalisterna som ska koras till vinnare och få sitt drömkontrakt.
